It's finally here! Yes, those of you who know me well are probably heaving a sigh of relief. After all, as some have blatantly told me, I've been wasting my talent.

Those who don't know me might ask why? Well, I'm a Monday to Friday, nine to five kinda girl. Every weekday I head out and crunch numbers for a living, but I had always thought that there must be more to life than sifting through piles of paperwork and writing reports.

Three years ago I caught a glimpse of what this "more to life" might be. After announcing her engagement I offered to make a friend's wedding cake. Had I ever made one before? No. But I had spent some time working in a bakery, enjoyed it, and had a creative flair which longed for a challenge. She knew this and bravely accepted my offer. We're both glad she did. Not only did she get her cake, but I discovered a new passion which keeps me sane and insane at the same time!

After numerous hours spent researching, taking courses, mixing buttercream and using family, friends, and their extensions as my taste testers, FLAVOUR was created. My goal? To put a fresh spin on the mainstream wedding cake and, more importantly, to have fun doing it.

I still work nine to five, but you never know where the yellow brick road will lead...
